What to Expect

The treatment room is a safe and sacred space where your history, questions and aspirations are discussed. The initial visit includes time for us to go over your intake form information, and details of the session. You will be draped with a sheet and blanket to ensure your comfort and modesty. Only the area being massaged will be uncovered.

My style is a flowing, intuitive blend of bodywork techniques including, Swedish, myofascial release, Thai Massage, hot stones, cupping, craniosacral and energy healing. All sessions offer aromatherapy and include some basic work with heated stones. I strive to be present and grounded and hold space for you in a positive way. I approach each client with curiosity and compassion and allow their story to shape my treatment session. You are invited to experience a unique style of nurturing therapeutic massage.

*Are you looking for Deep Tissue?

Effective massage must adequately address the client’s areas of pain and dysfunction. That doesn’t mean the work has to be deep or painful. It does mean I will spend a good amount of time focused on the areas of complaint. My level of pressure falls more into the medium/firm category.

If you describe your favorite massage experience in the following terms:

“They crushed me under the weight of those pointy elbows”

                                   or

“They went to town on my back and I was sore for days”…

you might be looking for a different style than what I offer. If you are unsure about what type of massage you are looking for please give me a call and we can discuss it.

Hot Stone Massage

What clients say about hot stone massage…

“Like laying on a warm sand beach, bathed in sunlight, not a care in the world”

“Ooey, Gooey butterscotch (insert favorite flavor) pudding”

“Like soaking in a hot tub with a glass of wine”

“I can’t get up, I’m melted to the table”

Massage Cupping

Cupping might be just the right thing if ...

You feel a lot of tension along your spine & upper back

You want to improve range of motion in your shoulders & hips

You are recovering from an injury or repetitive strain issues, such as tendonitis

What are cupping marks?

If you have watched the Olympics you have seen the iconic purple circles that result from cupping therapy. This skin discoloration is not a bruise, it does not hurt to the touch. Cupping marks are stagnant blood and cellular debris that are brought to the surface for the lymphatic system to clear away. On average these marks will dissipate in 4 to 7 days after treatment.
